FAMILY HISTORY & TRAINING

Del Rio, TX Birthplace
Born on August 21st, 1969, in Del Rio, TX; Joe Loredo was born into a family of 8. He has 2 brothers and 3 sisters. His 2 older brothers (Richard and Raul) trained in Kempo Karate, Tae Kwon Do, and Kajukembo. Joe has always been an athlete playing all sorts of sports throughout his lifetime.

Martial Arts Training
He began his martial arts training with a 3 month training stint in the art of Kempo Karate (at the age of 12) during the summer of 1982. His martial arts training became serious later in life, when at the age of 23 he continued his training in the arts of Nei Wai Chia Kung Fu, Functional Jeet Kune Do, and Combat Hapkido under the tutelage of Sijo Larry Sanders, out of Austin, TX. During his 6 1/2 years of training under Larry Sanders, Joe managed to attain the rankings of 2nd Degree Black Belt in Nei Wai Chia Kung Fu, and 1st Degree Black Belt in Functional Jeet Kune Do and Combat Hapkido.

It wasn't until October of 1999 that Joe began his martial arts training under Guro Ray Parra in the Jeet Kune Do Concepts method as taught to him by Guro Dan Inosanto (Bruce Lee's Protege; out of Los Angeles, CA).

Certification Training
Joe is now certified to teach Jeet Kune Do Concepts under Guro Ray Parra. This method of training incorporates various martial arts disciplines which are effective in combat. It also teaches you how to defend and move from projectile weapon range, to kicking,punching, trapping and grappling range.
